Meaning of ' Vṛtti'

Vṛtti, corresponds to ‘being’.
To just be, all that you are. Wholly embracing, accepting, and evolving, as a result of the acceptance of self.
One drop that leads to ripples all across a lake.
This ripple effect is also called “Vṛtti
It is about that drop, the step towards the self that can change one’s whole life or way of being.
Dramatic water splash with sunset reflection creating a beautiful silhouette on the surface.
“Yogascittavrttinirodhah” (योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः॥ ) is the Yoga Sutra which is quite well known to someone who begins their journey on this path.
Yogah Citta Vṛtti Nirodhah
The translation from Sanskrit to English would mean that Yoga is a great way to control the Vṛttis of the mind.
By “Vṛtti of the Mind”, it means that one drop of a thought in the mind can cause these ripples to multiply and spiral into the anxiety, stress, overthinking that has come to be the mind in this modern day and age.
What if this drop were to be thought of self love, worthiness, confidence, positivity and an expanse of spiritual wisdom?
What then would the Vṛtti come to be?
A relaxed mind, reflecting into a beautiful life, prosperity integrity and alignment with the Higher Self and the Paramatma (Higher Consciousness)
Doesn’t that sound like an ideal state of being?
Vṛtti, A whirlpool of energy. This energy spirals, creating an elevating effect; and is often the premonition of a mystical yoga practice. The feeling of “Yog” or union, happens through transcendent events as we progress through the years with our practice. This is when we discover that our spiritual space goes beyond the body. It can extend up into the Universe, while being rooted into the Earth. The mysticism and expanse is infinite, and therefore this journey delving into Yoga is enchanting and infinite in itself.
